Want to Own the Room in 7 Seconds?

Let me ask you something important...
What would you say if you had just 7 seconds to win over a cold, possibly hostile audience?
That's not a hypothetical.
That's showbiz.
That's sales.
That's real life.
Every time you walk onto a stage, fire up a Zoom call or step into a boardroom, you've got about 7 seconds before people decide:
🟢 "I trust this person."
🔴 "I've already tuned out."
Here's the good news: It's not about perfection.
It's about positioning.
And it's a skill you can learn.
The 7-Second Rule
Taken from my book
Your audience forms and opinion before your second slide.
Often before your second breath.
So what do they need from you in those critical moments?
✅ Certainty - Do you feel like someone worth listening to?
✅ Presence - Are you really in the room, or just speaking words?
✅ A reason to care - Why should they give you their attention?
If they don't feel that from you straight away, they may stay seated - but mentally, they've already left the room.
